Electro-Optical Systems Engineer
Position involves the design and development of Optical and Electro-Optical systems in the UV, visible, near infrared, infrared, and thermal infrared employing MEMS and nanotechnology. Systems include imaging as well as non-imaging and communication avionics. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, leading the company's optical, thermal and vibration analyses, conducting and leading a team in basic and applied research efforts, requirements definition, materials selection, system performance modeling and testing, hardware development and system testing. Additionally, position will provide key technical direction and system guidance company-wide to engineers and scientists on a variety of programs. Serves as the customer technical point of contact on assigned projects. Expertise in thermal infrared highly desirable. Excellent written, communication and technical presentation skills required. Success with bid and proposal work required
